The Duty family hails from the Northern Michigan region of Boyne City. Tony Duty is the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Boyne City. Tony and his wife, Christa, have four children, Kayla, Rebekah, Joshua and Emily all of which have sung since they were little.
Tony traveled with the gospel music group Sound Doctrine for thirteen years (1992-2005) playing the bass guitar. Christa later joined Sound Doctrine (2000-2005) singing lead and tenor vocals.
While the Duty family has sung together as a family for many years, "Home Away From Home" is their first recording project. Recorded and engineered by Tony's dad, Gary Duty, of Sound Doctrine. On this project the Duty's are accompanied by Sound Doctrine (Gary Duty on guitar, Jeff Tuttle on mandolin, Barry Tuttle on Dobro) as well as world renowned fiddle player, Andy Leftwich.
